Curriculum Development:

During the 2003/2004 academic year, the departmental curriculum committee conducted an interim review of the professional Master of Science degree in urban and regional planning. During a retreat in early May, 2004, the departmental faculty acted on relevant curriculum issues which are reflected in the updated "Academic" section of the departmental web-site. The following two documents provide background on recent changes made to the URPL curriculum.

"OLD" M.S. Curriculum

Important Notice: These apply ONLY to transitional students who were enrolled in the standard (professional) Master of Science degree prior to May, 2004 and who have chosen to follow the "OLD" guidelines. They are verbatim excerpts from the April-May 2004 Interim Curriculum Review (available above) and should be used as a guide with official departmental policies referenced in the Department's Policy Manual.

Even More Important Notice: The existing (current) degree requirements for the standard M.S. Degree in Urban and Regional Planning have undergone substantial revision (May, 2004) and are listed on the departmental web-site. All students who enrolled since May of 2004 are required to follow the existing degree requirements.
